On 30/12/2022, Lata Bari was brought to AVIEW Jibantala Unit from Sealdah Station by the organization’s staff. At admission, she was quiet, spoke very little, neglected personal hygiene, had substance use issues, severe hair matting, scalp wounds, and skin problems. Through regular medication, therapy, counselling, and care, she gradually improved. Later, she remembered her family, and AVIEW successfully traced and contacted them. After renewed communication, her family took her home on 01/08/2026. AVIEW supported her with travel expenses and medicines. Her journey highlights the impact of rehabilitation, care, and family reintegration.
