Shampa Chowdhury, a 28-year-old woman, was brought by the KLS Police Station on 22.08.25.When Shampa arrived, she was very unclean and used to cover her face with a bed sheet. She had certain delusions and hallucinations such as believing that God resided within her body, that God instructed her on what she should do, and that anyone who did not listen to her would be punished by God. Shampa is a married woman and has two young children.

Over time, with regular medication and therapy, improvements were observed in her condition, and she gradually became involved in various activities such as cutting vegetables, cooking, agriculture related work etc.

At present, she is stable. Her family was contacted, and social workers conducted a home visit. Finally, on 30.11.25, she returned home.
